DE COMPRAS POR SANTA GERTRUDIS II

Hola a todos!

La semana pasada os enseñé dos de las tiendas con más encanto de Santa Gertrudis (clic), en Ibiza. Y hoy os traigo la segunda y última entrega. Y es que este pequeño pueblo es una caja de sorpresas, tanto para comprar ropa como para exquisiteces gastronómicas. Posee una tiendecita, La Fromangerie, con productos alimenticios franceses y entre ellos, la famosa bebida pero difícil de encontrar, Licor de Cassis con la que se elabora el kir y el kir royale (con vino o champán, respectivamente).

Ya a las afueras del pueblo está la divertidísima tienda Sluiz (clic). La entrada tiene esculturas de vacas, lo que ya te adelanta qué tipo de objetos decorativos vas a encontrar: perros gigantes, sillones de colores, juguetes reconvertidos en piezas decorativas, budas rosas, etc. ¡Nada aquí es aburrido! Y es, sin duda, una de mis tiendas preferidas de toda la isla, aunque sea sólo para dar una vuelta.

Hi everyone! Last week I showed you two of the most enchanting shops in Santa Gertrudis (clic), Ibiza. And today’s post is the second and last part. Because this little town is full of surprises, either if you want to buy clothes or food. The shop La Fromangerie has typical French products and is one of the few places where you can buy Cassis Licor, which is used to make Kir or Kir Royal (with wine or champagne).

On the outskirts of the town you can find the funniest shop ever, Sluiz (clic). At the entrance you will find some cow sculptures that show you what you will find inside the shop: giant dogs, colourful sofas, toys turned into decorating objects, pink buddhas, etc. Nothing is boring here! And it is also, undoubtedly, one of my favourite shops in the whole island, even if I only want to check around.

KLIMT: 150 AÑOS DESDE SU NACIMIENTO

Este año el mundo entero esta celebrando el 150 aniversario del nacimiento de Gustav Klimt. Y por este motivo, en Viena hay numerosos museos que han organizado diversas exposiciones (clic) en honor del artista, el más conocido de Austria y figura imprescindible del Modernismo. Uno de estos museos es el Belvedere (clic), que le rinde homenaje con una exposición que muestra la mayor colección de pinturas del artista, incuyendo el icono del artista, El Beso, y otras obras maestras como Salome, Girasol y Familia. La exposición estará abierta hasta el próximo 6 de enero. Yo nunca he estado en Viena pero espero ir muy pronto porque creo que éste es el momento perfecto para hacerlo!

This year the whole world is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gustav Klimt. And there are many museums at Wien that have opened an exhibition (clic) about the artist, the most renowned Austrian painter and a trailblazer of Modernism. One of them is the Belvedere Museum (clic), that devotes a temporary exhibition showing the largest collection of Klimt’s paintings including the monumental icon Kiss and famous masterpieces such as Judith and Salome, Sunflower and Family. The exhibition will be open until the 6th of January. I have never been to Wien but I hope to travel there soon because this is the perfect moment!

AUTORRETRATOS

Por fín es viernes! Espero que esta primera semana de vuelta a la realidad haya sido relajada y que todavía os acordéis de los buenos momentos de las vacaciones. Por mi parte, sigo ordenando las fotos de las vacaciones y dentro de poco os mostraré las mejores imágenes de mi viaje!

Para acabar la semana os traigo uno de esos post sobre mis manías con la cámara de fotos, como fotografiar matrículas de coches (clic) o balcones de Madrid (clic). Y es que los autorretratos son una temática casi obligada para todos los fotógrafos o artistas. Un reflejo en un cristal, un espejo o una sombra son el mejor recurso para aparecer uno mismo en la foto sin soltar la cámara. Aquí tenéis los míos, espero que os gusten! En la última de ellas incluso combino dos manías!!

Para terminar, quiero recomendaros ir al Museo Thyssen, si aún no lo habéis hecho, a ver la exposición sobre Hopper puesto que el próximo día 16 de septiembre finaliza la muestra. Además, la pinacoteca abre de martes a sábado hasta las 11 de la noche. ¿Qué mejor plan que un poco de arte y una cena romántica para el fin de semana?

Hi everyone! Today is Friday! I hope this first week back to work has been quiet and that you still remember those good holiday moments. I am still organizing my photographs and very soon I will show you the best pictures from my trip!

The week is finishing and today I bring you another post about my obsessions with the camera, such as taking photos of car plates (clic) or of the balconies of Madrid (clic). Self portraits are a must of every photographer or artist. A crystal reflection, a mirror or our own shadow can be the best way to do it. Here you have mine, I hope you all like them. In the last one I also combine two of my obsessions!

Finally, I would like to recommend you to visit the Thyssen Museum and the exhibition about Hopper because it will be closing the next 16th of September. The museum is open until 11 pm. What better plan for this weekend than a bit of art and a romantic dinner?
